OnePlus 13 Could Get A Big RAM Boost, Will That Increase The Launch Price?

OnePlus 13 launch is getting closer in China before its global release next year and the rumours have gradually picked up pace.

The OnePlus 13 launch is getting closer, at least in China and the hype train has started to churn out new details almost every day. The company’s new flagship is likely to pack the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset but that won’t be the only upgrade expected this year. New reports say the OnePlus 13 will get a big RAM boost which could invariably push the price of the new OnePlus phone in the market.

OnePlus 13 RAM Boost: What We Know

The OnePlus 13 details came via the reliable Digital Chat Station on Weibo recently, and the tipster suggests OnePlus could push the RAM level to another range now. He says the OnePlus 13 could come with up to 24GB RAM, yes, that’s not a typo, but an actual figure. We have already seen phones with 16GB RAM in the market, which even includes the Google Pixel 9 series this year.

But the Chinese brand is happy to go up a notch and packing 24GB RAM, most likely with 1TB storage on the OnePlus 13 could be something. Most phones are getting this raw power to support future-ready features and yes, AI but even then one might say that 24GB RAM is an overkill, at least for phones.

More importantly, the tipster says OnePlus taking this route with the new flagship could give us the phones with a new hiked price tag. We’re gradually seeing brands increase the price of their supposed flagship phones, and this year might be the same.

The other rumoured details about the OnePlus 13 hints at the same camera as its predecessor but hopefully with a periscope lens. The phone could pack a large 6,000mAh battery which supports 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. The global and India launch of the OnePlus 13 is not expected until early 2025 but we’re eager to see the phone when it is announced in China next month.
