Home remedies for food poisoning:

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR



This is commonly called as vinegar made from apples. Apple cider vinegar has antibacterial properties that are very effective against food borne pathogenic bacteria like Escherichia coli. It is rich source of minerals and enzymes that can help in stabilizing your body after a bout of food poisoning. This is best treatment to cure food poisoning due to its alkaline effect.

You just need to take 2-3 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and add it into a cup of hot water. Consume it before taking your meal. You must take it 2-3 times daily.

GINGER WITH HONEY

Ginger is the remedy for various ailments. Ginger has a compound called gingerol which has antimicrobial properties and helps to fight with foodborne pathogens. Ginger helps to improve the digestion, and effect of ginger got doubles when it gets added with honey. Raw honey help to speed up your recovery. Ginger and honey relieve nausea and vomiting that are the symptoms of foodborne illness. Ginger help to reduce the symptoms of  food poisoning.

You just need 1 to 2 inches of ginger slice, 1 cup of water and honey. Add ginger to cup of water and boil it for 5 minutes after that add some honey to it according to the taste and drink it immediately. Take it 3 times in a day until your symptoms got subside.

GARLIC

Garlic treats many problems food poisoning is also one of them. Garlic has antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties that can help to destroy the food borne pathogens. It helps to get relieve from diarrhea and stomach pain.

You just need 2-3 peeled garlic cloves. Chewed it properly, you can chew it with honey as well. You must eat it once in a day until you get relief.

LEMON JUICE

Lemon juice has antioxidant properties which help to improve the overall healing of your body. It exhibits exceptional bactericide activities that can help combat the bacterial pathogens which cause food poisoning. Lemon juice helps you to recover faster.

You just need ½ lemon and cup of water. Honey is optional if you want then you can add honey as well. Squeeze lemon in cup of water and drink it. Drink lemon juice 2-3 times in a day to get relief.

CARDAMOM & TULSI

Cardamom has antimicrobial properties and tulsi help to eliminate the microbes that cause food poisoning. To treat vomiting nausea combination of tulsi and cardamom is best.



You just need few leaves of tulsi and 1 cardamom. Then eat leaves with cardamom. You should take it immediately when you find the symptoms of food poisoning.  

BANANAS

Bananas contain fiber and potassium. Bananas help to replenish the lost potassium in your body. Potassium help to re-energizes you and helps alleviate the symptoms of food poisoning.

You just need 1 banana. Mash it properly and eat it with milk. You can do it 2-3 times in a day.

VITAMIN C

Vitamin C is an antioxidant and it helps to eliminate bacteria and toxins from your body. So it helps to treat food poisoning better. If you don’t like to take supplements more then you can increase intake of foods which are enriched with vitamin C.

You just need 1000 mg vitamin C supplements. Eat it 3-4 daily if your food poisoning is not get treated at initial level.

GRAPEFRUIT SEED EXTRACT

It contains antimicrobial properties. These antimicrobial properties fight the pathogens responsible for food poisoning and also help you recover faster.

You just need 8-10 grapefruit seed extract and cup of water. Mix it well and drink it 3-4 times daily.

THYME OIL

This oil contains compounds like thymol, linalool and carvacrol that have antimicrobial and antiparasitic properties. It can be effective against various foodborne illnesses.

You just need 1 drop of thyme oil and cup of water. Add drop of thyme oil to cup of water. Mix it well and consume it daily. You must drink this solution 1-2 times daily.

OREGANO OIL

This oil works as wonder for treating food poisoning. Oregano oil contains compounds like carvacrol and thymol that impart excellent antimicrobial properties to it and help to eliminate the pathogens responsible for food poisoning.

You just need 1 drop of oregano oil and 2 oz of water. Mix it well and consume it daily. You should take it 2-3 times daily until you see an improvement in the symptoms.

APPLES

COLD MILK

Glass of ice cold milk is helpful to cure the upset stomach. You can add any flavor for taste. But if you are looking for instant relief then plain cold milk is recommended.

FENUGREEK SEEDS AND YOGHURT

This is one of the cheapest methods for food poisoning. You just need to consume 1 teaspoon of yoghurt and fenugreek seeds. It is advisable do not chew the fenugreek seeds just swallow them directly.
