Facebook keeps changing faster than we think! One of the last major updates to the Facebook app changed the way you saw your Facebook Feed. Christened Home, it used Facebook’s new algorithms to show popular posts from websites and publications while de-prioritizing posts from friends and family. Obviously, it annoyed a lot of Facebook loyalists and it seems Meta took the feedback. Hence, in the latest beta version of Facebook, there is a fix for this ? we get a new Feeds section.With the latest update to Facebook app, users will get to see a new Feeds section. It does what it describes ? it is simply a new section for all the updates from your friends and followers. The Home tab stays doing what it does now ? showing your social circle posts mixed with stories and updates from various other sources that Facebook thinks is relevant for you. You also get to see the newest posts in chronological order.
Facebook App gets Feeds to bring old Facebook experience
The Feeds section will show all the updates in the chronological order. Hence, you get to see the newest posts first and older posts will take a backseat. Additionally, there are filters for users to tailor their feeds to their preferences. Hence, you can just choose to see all the posts from your Friends only, or just Groups, and so on.
As for the main Home feed, Facebook will use it more of as a ?Discover? space, wherein you get to find out new pages and posts. The Suggested For You tab is gone. ?We’re also naming the primary tab ? the first thing you see when you open the app ? Home. Home is the starting point for connection, entertainment and discovery on Facebook,? says Facebook.
?As Home becomes more of a discovery engine for you to find and follow new content and creators through recommendations, the Feeds tab provides an easy way to access the content from the people and communities you’re already connected with on Facebook. There are no Suggested For You posts in Feeds and ads are included,? says the blog post.
The new Home and Feed tabs will roll out to users around the world with by next week.
