Summer Home Made Drink Recipes

Summer is one of the fourth climates in India. In some place summer is the wettest season and in some places it is the dry season. In summers as compare to winters days are long and nights are short. In this season weather is very hot and humid. In the north part of the world summers comes between March to August. In south art of the world it takes place in September to March. In USA there are cool summers. There is always snowfall in summers like Canada. But in India it is totally different. In India summer season is the hottest season.

Summer drinks:

Lemon drink- nimbu paani

This is the most favorite drink in summers. It is very good heat stroke reliever. This drink just takes two minutes to make it and drink it. After drinking this body automatically experience a change. The sour taste of it fights against the heat.

To make this you just need one liter cold water, half sliced lemon, lemon juice, 4 tablespoon of sugar/salt, juice of pudina leaves and cubes of ice. Now take a container and pour the water and add sugar or a bit salt. Stir so as to dissolve it. Adds the lemon juice to it till it turns out to be more sour then add some more water to it. Add the juice of pudina to it.

Sattu sharbat

It is the very famous drink of Eastern India, especially in Bihar. In summers there are many stalls who sale this road sides. But if you will make it at home then you will enjoy more. Sattu sharbat is also helpful to fill up your stomach.



To prepare this you just need five spoons of roasted gram flour, chilled water, six spoons of lemon juice, rock salt, roasted cumin powder, chat masala powder and ice cubes. Now take a container and pour the cold water in a container. Put the roasted gram flour into water.pour the lemon juice into it. Now blend the mixture properly. Put it into glass and sprinkle the chat masala on it and put few ice cubes and serve the chilled instant summer drink.

Buttermilk

It is also known as Chanch. Buttermilk is one of the popular summer drinks in North India. Buttermilk is not a cooling drink but aids in digestion and fills your stomach. You can prepare it in few minutes. It is known as Neer Mor Drink in South India.

To prepare it you just need 2 cups of yogurt, 2 cups of water, roasted cumin powder, black salt, mint leaves, asafeotida powder, ginger juice fennel, curry leaves and ice cubes. Now blend the yogurt and water properly. Add asafetida powder, curry leaves, 2-3 drops of ginger juice and blend it. Put some roasted cumin powder and black salt. Stir it well. Garnish it with mint leaves and serve it chilled with some ice cubes in it.

Watermelon juice

Watermelon is the best summer fruit. This fruit itself has a refreshing energy when taken during the summer. Because it has 90 percent of water content. It is the fruit which give solace to your parched throat and body. This juice is also good for the stomach as well.

For this you just need 10 cups of sliced pulp of watermelon, black salt, ice cubes 5-6 pieces and mint leaves. Blend the pulp adding 2 ice cubes into it. Add black salt and stir it. Add few cubes and garnish it using the mint leaves.

Lassi

If you are in Punjab then you cannot be back without having sweet lassi. It is summer drinks with which the Punjabis greet any guest. It is still special in all over India as it quench your thirst with a new energy.



For this you just need six to seven bowls of chilled curd or yogurt, 10 tablespoons of sugar, ice cubes and 2 cups of water, cardamom powder and few strands of saffron. It is so simple to made it. Pour the curd into a container. Use a blender to mix the curd till it smoothens. Add sugar to water stir till it dissolves. Now charan the Madani or the lassi in the lassi mixer. Garnished it with sliced fruit on top of it. In Maharashtra and Gujarat it is known as srikhand or piyush.

Imli ki chatni

Imli ki chatni is mouth watering. Imli is famous fruit tot ackle the heat stroke during summer. During summers if someone is facing problem of bleeding nose due to the heat then you you can have this meethi chatni.

For this you just need 6 to 7 pieces of ripening tamarind, a bowl of sugar, water and sieving machine, few ice cubes and 3-4 fresh pudina leaves. Soak the tamarind in water for two hours. Now mash it properly removing the seed out from it. Dissolve 10-15 tablespoon of sugar in a bowl of water. Add the paste to it. Blend it to properly. Leave it to cool.

Aam panna

In summer there is abundance of mango recipes. There are pickles made of mango, ripe mangoes decorate the lunch every day. Aam panna is the very delicious drink which makes you feel re-energized.

To make this drink you just need bowl of sugar, black salt, mint leaves, roasted cumin powder, chilled water, ice cubes. Now boil the raw mangoes then peel off the skin properly. Mash it remove the seed. Blend it properly in the blender. Dissolve four spoons of sugar in one cup of water. If you want to have spicy salted aam panna then add black salt and cumin powder to it.

Thandai

It is a very famous north Indian drink during the colourful festival of India like Holi. Thandai means cool drink. It is a drink which celebrates the coming of spring.

To make thandai you need cup of hot water, almonds, pistachios, khus khus, melon seeds, fennel seeds, chilled milk, sugar, saffron, and ice cubes. Soak the dry fruits all night and then blend it properly all together.

Pan gulkand drink

This is one of the most demanding drink in summers. It is made of paan leaves, paan patta or betel leaves.

To make this you just need betel leaves, 4 cups of chilled milk, tea spoon of almond powder, half table spoon of basil seed, gulkand, 2 teaspoons of roafaza, chopped fruits and ice cubes. Mix all the ingredients and blend it properly.

Wood apple juice

Wood apple juice is one of the popular drinks of north India. It is very common in each nook and corner of the city.

To prepare this you just need one ripe bel fruit, 5 tablespoons sugar, four glass of water, and ice cubes. Mix these all and blend it properly.
