Use emerging technologies, beef up traditional policing, PM Modi advises DGPs, IGPs

NEW DELHI: PM Narendra Modi on Sunday told the heads of all state/UT police, central paramilitary forces and intelligence agencies to use technology to their advantage by upgrading their systems and training their personnel in emerging technologies.

Addressing the 57th All-India conference of DGP and IGPs of police, which concluded here on Sunday, Modi suggested making the police forces more sensitive, while also training them in effective use of emerging technologies. He emphasised on the importance of the National Data Governance Framework for smoothening of data exchange across agencies.
