Home remedies to improve eyesight

Eyes plays very vital role in our life. Without eyes it is not possible to see the beauty of world. If our eyes get dry then it became very uncomfortable and even painful condition. When eyes don’t produce enough tears then eyes don’t get properly lubricated due to which irritation, inflammation and blurred vision causes. Poor eyesight has become the common occurrence in our world. This poor eyesight is of two types; nearsightedness or farsightedness. People started to wear glasses and contact lenses to deal with poor eyesight. Majority of the people do not like to wear glasses. Another way is to pouring eye drops or taking medicines, we do not like this option too. Apart from these we are left with one choice only i.e. home remedies.

Following are some home remedies to treat poor, blurred eyesight:

ALMONDS

Almonds contain vitamin E, omega 3 fatty acids and antioxidants which naturally improve your eyesight. Almonds also help to improve memory power and concentration. You can take these almonds with glass of milk or you can prepare a paste of soaked almonds. You need to do this every day for a few months till you see some improvement. Take almonds daily especially in morning.

FENNEL


Fennel is known as ‘the herb of sight’ for a good reason. Presence of antioxidants and nutrients in this herb slow down the progression of cataracts and promote healthier eyes. High quantity of seeds should be used for this purpose. You just need to take cup of almonds, fennel and sugar to a grinder and grind this to a powder. Eat one tablespoon of this powder with a glass of milk before going to sleep. You need to repeat this for 40 days at least to see the improvement in your eyes.

AMLA

Amla is known as most effective remedy for improving eyesight. Amla is the best sources of vitamin C. Amla is enriched with antioxidants and other powerful nutrients which can improve your eyesight. The presence of vitamin C in amla improves the functioning of retinal cells and promotes healthier capillaries. You just need to mix a few spoons of amla juice to half cup of water. Drink this two times a day, in the morning and evening. You can also consume this juice with honey.

HEALTHY DIET

Consuming a healthy diet is a powerful solution for almost every disease. It also helps to improve eyesight. Vitamin A, B, E, D and C beta-carotene, and amino acids promote healthier eyes. To improve your eyesight you should eat green leafy vegetables. You can eat food like corn, beetroot, broccoli, spinach, eggs, nuts and fatty fish can help you improve your eyesight naturally.



EYE EXERCISES

Some eye exercises helps in making your eyes more flexible. This helps to improve blood circulation to the eyes and helps to maintain optimal vision. You can try rolling your eyes in both clockwise and anticlockwise direction for a few seconds each. Blink in between the sets to give your eyes some rest. You can also try fluttering. Blink your eyes quickly for 20 to 30 seconds. Do this twice daily.

GINKGO BILOBA

This herb is remedy for improving eyesight. It helps to protect you from glaucoma and macular degeneration. Before opting this herb, check with your doctor if you should consume it or not.

PROTECTIVE EYEWEAR

Whether you are working in a garage, playing racquetball or doing science experiment. It is very necessary to protect your eyes with appropriate eyewear. If you have a risk of sharp objects, chemicals, materials such as wood shaving , metal shards then tough protective eyewear is mandatory to wear.

OPT 20-20-20 RULE

This 20-20-20 rule helps to improve your eyesight. Our eyes work hard during the day and need a break. If you work at a computer for whole day then you must opt this rule at earliest. This 20-20-20 rule means that after every 20 minutes, you should stop staring at computer and look at something around 20 feet away for 20 seconds. This rule makes your eyes relax able.

Our eyes mostly get infected by our hands and lenses. You should always wash your hands before touching your eyes or handling your contact lenses. To protect your lenses from infection it is super important to wash your hands.

Diabetes isn’t only disease that can affect your vision. Other conditions such as high blood pressure and multiple sclerosis also can affect your eyesight. These types of conditions are linked to chronic inflammation, which can harm your health from head to toe. Inflammation can cause pain and even complete vision loss. Sunglasses make your look cool and also protect your eyes for sun rays. Sunglasses can block 99 to 100 percent of UVA and UVB radiation from sunlight. Wearing a wide-brimmed hat can also help protect your eyes from damage.
